The long‑eared influencer

If you’re on Instagram, you might already know May’s Lancashire Dog Treats Dog of the Month, Edie_the_Basset.

She loves her family, her walks and posing for photos, but behind all the fun she’s also been on a journey with allergies - and that’s where Kelly and LDT have made a huge difference.

Meet Edie

Name: Edie (Edith when she’s naughty)

Breed: Basset Hound

Age: 5 

Favourite food: CHEESE, especially Babybel, she hears it being unwrapped from a room away

Favourite treat: A pizzel (her dad is not a fan)

Favourite toy: A very flat, stuffling-less squirrel toy from Grandma

Loves: Being with her family... all four stone of her will happily plonk herself right on top of them. She’s a big fan of her walks too, whether she’s chasing her ball on the beach or climbing hills. She also has a thing for being up high, so she’ll take any chance to walk along a wall or climb a hill, and she never says no to fusses from friendly humans.
Edie also loves her cousin Seamus the Border Collie and has a passion for stealing socks and being chased!

Dislikes: The Hoover and the hair dryer

Special talent: 'Tripoding' - lifting one paw for dramatic effect, whether it be waiting to walk on or enjoying a pup cup. She's also great at launching her Basset Hound drool to impressive heights.

Edie is five (six in September) and an absolute heart‑melter who’s always up for a snuggle. She’s endlessly lovable, brings joy wherever she goes and never fails to make her humans laugh. At home she answers to Edie… unless she’s stealing socks or getting in the way of the Hoover, in which case she’s very much Edith.

She will do anything for a treat, and will start nudging for her tea before it’s time because she absolutely adores LDT raw food!

Despite her short legs, she’s a brilliant little explorer as you'll see on her Instagram. From long coastal walks in Northumberland to hill climbs in Scotland, Edie’s little legs have carried her on some impressive journeys. And if there’s a Labrador nearby... her humans prepare for zoomies as she gets so excited.

But behind all the fun, Edie has also been on a journey with allergies. And that’s where Kelly, and LDT, have made a real difference. Her family told us:
