Dog Of The Month March

A family’s first puppy experience

Bringing a puppy home for the first time is one of those unforgettable family moments. For Enzo’s family, the decision came after years of the children asking for a dog. When the time finally felt right, they met Enzo… and that was it. Love at first sight and the start of their puppy journey.

Meet Enzo

Breed: Labradoodle

Age: 7 months

Favourite food: All LDT raw dog food flavours, whatever we give him he guzzles it up!

Favourite treat: Rabbit ears and puffed chicken feet

Favourite toy: His ball

Loves: Walks, sniffing, cuddles and sleeping

Dislikes: The car

Special talent: Sniffing his wild boar treats in the garden

As first-time dog owners, Enzo’s humans wanted to give him the very best start. Their breeder had already introduced Enzo to a raw diet and encouraged them to continue, which led them straight to our door here at Lancashire Dog Treats.

Enzo’s owners said: “From our very first visit, Kelly was on hand to guide us through the world of raw feeding, with what to feed, how much and how to adapt as Enzo grew. For new puppy parents, that help and support has made all the difference to us.”

One of the things the family appreciated most was the in‑store weighing station. It’s a simple tool, but incredibly helpful for monitoring a puppy’s development. Kelly checks Enzo’s weight regularly and offers gentle, practical advice if he’s edging toward the “overfed” zone. That kind of honest, friendly support is exactly what we want new owners to feel confident relying on.

His owners continued, “Enzo has settled into family life so well. He loves his daily walks, whatever the weather, and people often stop us to say how shiny his coat is. He’s full of energy, and we get compliments on him all the time. We truly believe his raw diet and the guidance we’ve had along the way has played a huge part in keeping him so healthy and happy.”

We’re thrilled to be part of his story.

At Lancashire Dog Treats we aim to be more than just a dog food shop. We’ve always believed that supporting owners is just as important as supplying great nutrition. Whether it’s reassurance about portion sizes, advice on transitioning foods or simply celebrating your pup’s milestones, we’re here for the whole journey.

If you’re welcoming a new puppy or simply curious about raw feeding, pop in for a chat. Kelly is always happy to help you get started, answer questions and make sure your pup is thriving every step of the way.
